The INMO will hold the first of series of national nurses strikes tomorrow, Wed 30th Jan 2019 from 8am for the proceeding 24 hours.

With regard to the three children’s hospitals in Children’s Health Ireland (CHI) located at Crumlin, Temple Street and Tallaght, please kindly note the following;  

  • All parents/ guardians who were due to attend one of our hospitals for a day case, in-patient admission or OPD appointment tomorrow should by now have received notification of postponement of this admission or appointment and will receive a rescheduled date as soon as possible

  • If your child is due to attend a HSCP (Health and Social Care Professional) led OPD clinic in one of our hospitals tomorrow, these clinics will proceed as normal (these appointments may be with Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Dietiticians, Social Workers, Speech and Language Therapists and other HSCPs)

  • CHI is asking parents to think about all their care and treatment options including their local family GP and GP out of hours service before attending the EDs (Emergency Departments) in our three children’s hospitals tomorrow

 We advise parents to also pay close attention to national and media outlets for further strike related updates.
