8 OLCHC Projects Shortlisted for Irish Healthcare Awards 2018

We are delighted to announce that 8 projects from Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin have been shortlisted for 5 Irish Healthcare Awards 2018.

Best Use of Information Technology - Hospital

  • Development of a paediatric CF self-management app (Department of Respiratory Medicine, OLCHC)


Hospital Project of the Year

  • Shared Care of Paediatric Heart Transplantation between Ireland and England (SoPHIE) (Department of Cardiology, OLCHC)

  • Pelvic Osteotomies for the Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip (Orthopaedics, OLCHC):


Nursing Project of the Year

  • The Nursing Huddle in a Children's Hospital (Department of Nursing, OLCHC)

  • A Virtual clinic for the Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip (Orthopaedics Nursing, OLCHC)


Research Paper of the Year

  • Vaccine - preventable admissions (Dr Suzanne Crowe, Paediatric Critical Care Unit, OLCHC) 


Sustainable Healthcare Project of the Year

  • Establishment of Risky Huddles in a Children's Hospital (Our Lady's Children's Hospital, Crumlin)

  • The Strength and Wellness Group in the Development of Self-Management Skills in a Paediatric Rheumatology population (Social and Health Care Rheumatology, OLCHC)
